At InvigorAging, we’re taking a realistic look at aging. I believe – and I hope you’ll agree – that while our later years come with their fair share of challenges, they also offer opportunities for growth and new experiences.
My goal is to help us find practical ways to maintain our health and independence as we age. I’m not here to claim that aging is all sunshine and roses – we know it’s not. But I am committed to sharing valuable resources and information that can help us tackle the challenges and make the most of this phase of life.
A Bit About Me
I’m not just talking about senior wellness – I’m living it right alongside you. My journey has taken me from a 40-year career as a professional dancer and instructor to where I am now: a senior focused on adapting those skills to our current needs and abilities.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked with people of all ages, including many seniors in health facilities and community centers. This experience opened my eyes to the unique challenges and opportunities we face as we age. Now, as a senior myself, I’ve had to rethink my approach to movement and health.
These days, I’m exploring gentle yet effective ways to keep our bodies and minds active. I’ve found that many of the principles I learned in dance – balance, flexibility, and body awareness – are incredibly valuable as we age. But don’t worry – I’m not here to turn you into a dancer! I’m here to share practical, adaptable strategies for staying active and healthy, no matter your fitness level or past experience.
Through InvigorAging, I’m bringing together my professional background, personal experiences, and ongoing research to offer insights that are relevant to our lives right now. Whether it’s finding ways to stay flexible, managing health concerns, or simply staying engaged with life, I’m here to share what I’m learning on this journey – and to learn from you, too.
